Homemade lemonade


  • 2 1/2 lemons
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 350ml water (still or sparkling)
  • Cucumber slices, mint leaves and strawberries for garnishing


Cut one of the lemons into chunks and pop into a blender, add in the juice of the remaining 1 1/2 lemons, the sugar and 100m of still water. Blend well, until the lemon chunks are pulverised. Put some strawberries, cucumber slices, mint leaves and ice cubes into a large jug. Pour the mixture from the blender through a sieve and into the jug. Top up the jug with the remaining 250ml of water, which can be either still or sparking, depending on your preference. Serve straight away or store in the fridge until ready to use.
